Counseling

• Counseling Services

  Our 5 full-time and 4 part-time counselors provide Academic, Career, and Personal Counseling. Each EOPS student is unique, and we take a personal interest in serving you. We strive to get to know students on an individual basis. We develop close relationships by visiting with students at least three times each semester, including your APR.

  We update educational plans, semester worksheets and discuss educational or career goals, academic progress, and personal issues during these appointments. Make an appointment to see an EOPS counselor as soon as possible... let us know how we can help you.

  Remember, students are required to meet with an EOPS counselor a minimum of three times each semester.

• TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT
  Call the EOPS Front Desk at (714) 432-5817 or log in to your EOPS Canvas Community Center for instructions on how to book a phone or online appointment. Students can schedule appointments up to 2 weeks in advance!
• To Cancel an appointment
  If you need to cancel an appointment, please contact our office immediately. You may cancel via phone (714) 432-5817.

• YOUR COMMITMENT TO THE EOPS PROGRAM
  • Enrolling full-time at ¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ (12 units or more per semester)
  • Maintaining a 2.0 GPA ("C") or better
  • Upload your Academic Progress Report (APR) on time for the Fall and Spring semester and meet with an EOPS counselor if you have a grade below a “C”
  • Complete the following three required contacts:
    • 1st one-hour EOPS counseling appointment (Create a Student Education Plan)
    • 2nd EOPS counseling appointment (Academic Progress Report)
    • 3rd EOPS counseling appointment (Revise Student Education Plan)

EOPS POLICIES

• New "No Show"** Policy

  If you have two “No Shows” in one semester in EOPS at ¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ Coast College, you will no longer be eligible for EOPS or its service.

  **A “No Show” is defined as missing an appointment for Intake or counseling with an EOPS counselor without proper notification before that appointment.

• New Bus Pass Policy

  ¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ Coast College Students Ride the OC Bus FREE!

  With unlimited rides on all OC Bus local fixed routes, it's easy to hop aboard for school, work, or shopping. Relax and ride safe, comfortable air-conditioned buses while avoiding parking costs, high gas prices, and traffic hassles as well as contribute to a cleaner, healthier environment. 

  • All full‐time, part‐time, and non‐credit enrolled students are eligible.
  • Unlimited rides on all 53 OC Bus local fixed routes.
